I'm currently sick with the common cold/flu.
In bed at the moment.
Its 12AM.
Not ridiculously late - but I would like to be asleep right now.
But I don't seem to be able to fall asleep.
Blogging won't exactly help. But it's tremendously boring staring at the ceiling
- actually, I can't even see the ceiling since it's so dark.
I'm making my own meals until I feel better.
I started today - so I went grocery shopping in the morning.
Oh, how I've missed my vegetables and fruits.
I bought noodles (not instant noodles), oatmeals, tofu, vegetables, fruit, orange juice (100% juice), throat lollies (Vitamin C, zero sugar) and medicine.
- the orange juice and throat lollies were bought with me thinking that Vitamin C helped my immune system and my flu symptons - apparently not. That lesson costed me quite a bit. Yes, fruits and vegetables are quite expensive over here.
It's the 6th of January.
Wow. Time is flying by.
So fast that I don't even see it going past me.
My host sister was like: 'I wish you were staying for a year.' - something like that.
I didn't show it - but I was ...really happy to hear that from her. Really really happy.
Trips to the grandparents' house was interesting. and fun.
Felt really honoured when both households invited me back - host mum's dad made me promise to go back. I'm going to visit him again on the 29th - after school.
During our stay at their houses,
We played Wii and Playstation with all the other kids.
I suck.Came last in all of the races. Near the end, when I gave up and watched as a spectator, I realise I used only the basic controls and there were all these other controls. - sigh. I am going to save up and buy myself a Playstation and Wii. D:< (nahh, I don't really care. Saving for another trip to Japan.)
We also ate. A lot. There was so much food. Not even funny.
Oh, when the 'party' came to an end, and we were sending off one of the families - their son, 10 years old, was like 'NI HAO!' and started waving furiously at me. Haha, adorable. Earlier in the night, he was such a gentleman, poured me tea before refilling his own and everything, and used hand gestures to communicate with me due to my poor poor Japanese. Aw, I'm going to miss him. - he's going to be popular with the girls when he grows up, haha.
Reason I don't have photos up is because I forgot to bring the USB cable for my video camera. I have my USB cable for my phone though?
I'm thinking of buying a camera here as well.
I need sleep.
I am determined to sleep.
T_T Please let me sleep.
School starts tomorrow - 7th.
I think I'll be needing those face/mouth masks - my first time wearing a face mask, in Japan as well!
So I guess this is all part of the experience?
Lol. Okay, off to my attempt to fall asleep.
Wish me luck.
G'night, sweet dreams everyone.
