I'm sorry Mr. 7.
I just realised I missed you and went straight to Mr. 8.
I like the light switches in Japan. Looks fancy to me.
I like how you have to stand in lines to get on the train.
I like how punctual the trains are.
I like those little discoveries I make everyday.
I like the vending machines,
and the convenience stores - they are actually convenient.
I like that 86-calorie Green Tea Ice-cream from the convenience store.
I like how the bathroom and toilet is separated,
I'm beginning to like the warm toilet seats - lol.
I find most Japanese commercials very amusing.
I like how they have sensors for the taps in public toilets.
I like how you have to return your plates to the appropriate store in food courts.
I like how you are required to sort out your rubbish - at home, in food courts, at school etc.
I like talking walks around the neighbourhood in the evening.
I like the school spirit - the school clubs - the respect they give to seniors.
I like starting conversations with strangers - just talk about random things.
I like staring out into the scenery while I'm on the train - this is not only in Japan though.
I'm beginning to appreciate how I don't stand out with my Asian features - although, from what I've seen so far, people don't stare at foreigners as 'intense' as some people have described it to be.
I like how Maccas is so cheap. and crepes are cheap. and donuts are cheap.
I find those box-shaped cars adorable.
I like their customer service - the respect they give to customers and most importantly - in mot cases, when you ask them for help, you actually end up having your problem/enquiry addressed and maybe get more assistance than you expected.
I'm very grateful for the help and kindness everyone has given me - host family, teachers, students, strangers etc.
Okay, that's all for now. Might continue laterr.
[edit]; back.
The classical-japanese teacher gave me a small gift the other day.
I don't attend her classes - cause my Japanese is up to standard. ''l
and so yes, I was really moved. Very unexpected.
Today is 'coming-of-age day' (seijin no hi) (20 years old - hatachi).
I'm sick at home. T_T Gahhhh.
I travelled to Kyoto Station by myself yesterday - wait for it,....without getting lost. (Y)
But then I got lost inside the station. 'l haha
Were meeting 2 girls from class to watch Shrek 3D. Pretty self-explanatory, didn't really need good Japanese to understand it. Oh yeah, there were barely any sounds of laughter and the lights remains off till the end of the credits. I guess, it shows respect to all the production staff.
Also did some shopping. Ate lunch. Purikura, of course - was a big fail though LOL.
We were trying to change positions and then FLASH, just my big fat face on the photo. xD
Many laughter and, yes.
Was going to go to Uji (where one of the girls lived), but it was getting late.
Visiting her house this Saturday instead - her mum likes chocolate so I bought her a huge pack of Chocopie. xDD
1 month left.
What are some things that I should do before I leave?
Need to make a list : should have done so before.
